The Beacon History

Beacon Securities was founded in Halifax in 1988 by Lonsdale Holland, after a successful career in the UK and Canada with Midland Doherty.

From its origins in Atlantic Canada, the firm now ranks among Canada’s elite institutional and private-client securities firms.
 
In 2007, under President Jane Smith, Beacon Securities joined forces with Wayne Lang, a leading financial advisor and industry visionary. Together, they created a securities division in which entrepreneurial advisors can deliver the full value of their experience and expertise to their clients. 

They called it Beacon Wealth Management.
